This is an opportunity for students and families to introduce themselves to their teachers for next school year. Unfortunately our new 2nd and 5th grade teachers will not be present because they are still out of state. This event will take place outside on our back patio. Teachers will be stationed around with a sign with their grade level. The intent is a quick casual conversation, not a formal presentation. We look forward to seeing you then!

Come to the Valdez all-school talent show! This is an opportunity for students to showcase their talents across the arts, sports, whatever their heart’s desire. Parents are welcome to come and watch the show on Friday, May 31st at 1:30pm in the auditorium.

ALL STUDENT CHROMEBOOKS, CHARGERS and Hotspots MUST BE TURNED IN by May 31st.
Students will need to fill out a checklist in their classroom, when turning in their devices to ensure the devices are turned in in good condition. Charges will apply for any device not turned in or turned in with damage.
If students that currently have a hotspot at home still need it, they are welcome to keep it as long as they plan on continuing in DPS next school year. If they move to another district or plan to move out of state they must turn in the hotspot and charger. Charges will apply for devices not turned.

Please check the lost and found for any coats or other missing items. We will schedule a donation pickup for all remaining coats on May 30th, so please claim them before then. There are 2 lost and found bins, one located outside the north gym door and one located outside the south/east gym door.

DPS Summer Meal Program (website) – Every summer Denver Public Schools participates in the Summer Food Service Program. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally-funded, state-administered program and refers to the free meal program offered during summer months that provides nutritious meals to children 18 years and younger at no charge, regardless of income, race or religion.
Denver Health School Based Clinics Summer Flier (English/Spanish) – All services are provided at NO COST to families and any Denver Public Schools student or sibling can be seen at the summer locations. All other locations will reopen at the start of the school year.
Denver Health FORGE & PEAS Programs Flier (English) – The PEAS program provides psychological, developmental, and logistical support to the families of Denver’s infants and young children.
Clothes to Kids Flier (English/Spanish) – Students must be age 3-21, live in the 11-county Denver Metro Area and be enrolled in preschool – 12th grade, or working toward a GED.
DPS Community Hubs – All Hub services are available at no cost to DPS families and Denver community members. Services include but are not limited to: basic needs assistance, parenting classes, GED English/Spanish support, language classes, Multilingual Education supports (newcomer, immigrants, and refugee families support), etc.
DPS Family and Community Engagement (FACE) – Provides access to resources, information, education and support for everyone in the DPS community at any point in their life’s journey, supporting our district’s 93,000 students and their families.

CherryArts “Art Sustains Us” Art Camp
It’s time to get creative, join us for an amazing one-week summer art camp! CherryArts is hosting this interactive art experience in partnership with nationally renowned artist, Pat Milbery. Participants get to explore their own creativity while developing new artistic skills involving printmaking, painting and sculpture.
The collaborative artwork will be showcased at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and then becomes a part of the CherryArts Mobile Art Gallery traveling to schools and communities throughout the Denver metro area. At camp, students will also create individual artwork and explore creating sustainable artwork on an individual and collaborative level.
