At Valdez we offer a free breakfast program for all students. Breakfast typically rotates five morning options, which are served at schools across the district. Our kitchen staff goes above and beyond, so students also enjoy special breakfast items like homemade quiche!
Our custom lunch menu includes a fresh fruit and salad bar every day. The salad bar is free to all students and features Valdez exclusives like homemade salsas, spinach and blueberry salad, cucumber salad, kale chips and Colorado-grown produce! Every day we feed over 300 students through our state-of-the-art kitchen so lunchtime is limited to 20 minutes to ensure everyone has time to eat.
For 2023-24 School Year:
Free School Meals for All! This year, all DPS students will get free breakfast and lunch. Families are encouraged to complete the “You Benefit!” form (formerly referred to as the Meals Application). By completing the form, you will help us access all available funds to cover the cost of meals, and other nutritional programs for students. Read more about free meals.
